Rachel Mary Malchuk (nee Bowley) of Birtle, Manitoba passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Russell Health Centre at the age of 63 years.
Rachel was born on June 24, 1955 to Arthur and Elsie Bowley in Russell, Manitoba. She was raised and attended school in Binscarth and Russell. She married Milton Malchuk on June 30, 1973 in Birtle, Manitoba. Together, they resided in Binscarth until 1977 when they moved to Shoal Lake. Rachel and Milton then moved to Birtle one year later where they currently resided. Rachel loved camping, fishing and spending time with the grandchildren.
Rachel was predeceased by her father Arthur Bowley in 1973, mother Elsie Bowley in 1998 and brother Rodney Bowley in 1982. Surviving is her beloved husband Milton; son Michael (Cheri) and their children: Parker, Payton and Carter; daughter Michelle (Robert) MacIsaac and their daughters Taylor and Allison. Also surviving are 2 brothers: Ken (Joan) Bowley of Whitewood, Sk., Norman (Georgette) Bowley of Russell; 2 sisters: Margaret (Oliver) Wood of Winnipeg; Suzanne (Ross) Rowan of Roblin; sister-in-law Pat Rogers of Ontario and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from the Birtle Cemetery with Linda Clark officiating. Urnbearers were her grandchildren Parker Malchuk and Taylor MacIsaac.
