Victor Boyko was born on March 14, 1933, the fourth child born to John and Annie Boyko. Victor attended Hilltop School until grade 8. He farmed along side his dad, in later years with his brother Elmer. They had a mixed farm: growing cereal crops and hay, raising cattle, pigs and poultry. Victor worked outside the farm for a while but returned to the farm where he stayed and farmed until his passing.
Victor was a member of Mountain Road Church, and Knights of Columbus which he was very proud of. He enjoyed hunting and trapping, going to auction sales, socializing with friends and having coffee.
Victor was predeceased by his sisters Christine Zwarich and Mary Zatylny. He leaves to mourn his sister Florence Shewchuk, brother Elmer Boyko and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mountain Road, with Father Emil Kardasinec officiating. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
