Cliff Lungal

Clifford John Lungal was the oldest child born to Nick and Margaret Lungal on February 3, 1941 in Inglis, Manitoba.  He was raised on the farm and at the age of 18, he moved to Thompson, Manitoba.  There he worked for Inco Nickel Mine for about 18 years.  Cliff married Diane Lobert on June 6, 1964 in Grandview, Manitoba.  They were blessed with 3 sons, Reg, Morley and Roger.  Cliff’s greatest joy were his boys, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In 1977, they moved to Gretna, Manitoba where they started their 6 years in the hotel business and 12 years in Sandy Lake. Later, he enjoyed many hours on the truck driving for RTM Transport, making many friends along the way.

About 16 years ago, they purchased a camper and he enjoyed doing some travelling, seeing the countryside and visiting family!

Cliff is predeceased by his son Reg in 2021, his dad Nick in 2001, his mom Margaret in 2012 and his brothers-in-law Mervin in 2016 and Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife Diane of 58 years, son Morley and wife Kathy (Brittani, Darcy, Brett), sons Roger and wife Stacy (Connor), Reg’s children Alyssa and Danton, 4 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mary Wood (Ross), Phyllis Pitz, Doris Sawicki (Gene), 6 brothers, Norman Lungal (Karen), Mike Lungal (Lorri), Gary Lungal (Julie) Jerry Lungal (Patti), Alex Lungal (Sue), Walter Lungal, sisters-in-law Shirley Fingas (Bob), Lil Mason, Marilyn Brazzeau, brothers-in-law Bob Lobert (Arla), William Lobert, George Lobert, Calvin Lobert (Marg) plus numerous nieces and nephews.
