Darlene Elizabeth (Johns) Sim

With family by her side, Darlene Elizabeth Sim passed away peacefully at the Hamiota Personal Care Home August 5th, 2021, at the age of 78. She is survived by her loving husband Barrie Sim, Son Dean (Shirley) Sim, grandchildren Tammy and Christine Sim, siblings Joyce (Bud), Bev, Murray (Gayle), Dallis. As well as many nephews, great nephews and nieces and close family friend Diane Johns. She was predeceased by her sons David and Richard (Rick) Sim, and her parents Elmer and Helen Johns.

Darlene was born November 3, 1941, in Shoal Lake, Manitoba, she later married Barrie Sim on November 7, 1959 they farmed in Hamiota their first few years together, during this time they had 3 sons. They then moved to Thompson, Manitoba August 1968 where she worked for the Hudson Bay Company and Westwood Dental Clinic until the later retired and moved back to Hamiota, Manitoba. Darlene enjoyed passing time by playing golf, curling, and visiting with family and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to the staff at Birch Lodge Personal Care Home in Hamiota, Manitoba for their kindness and care over the past few years.
