Helen (Borys) Shindela

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Helen Shindela on January 11, 2024, at the age of 96. Helen passed away peacefully at Sandy Lake Personal Care Home.

Helen was born December 15, 1927, in Cedoux, Sask. Helen married Steve Shindela October 26, 1949.

 
Helen was predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna Borys, her brothers Tony (Mary), Luke (Rose), Henry (Flo), Joe, (Pearl, Tina), Dorland (Norma) and sister Elizabeth Fedorkie (John). Left to cherish her memory are her husband Steve, daughters Geraldine Ferguson (Garry), Louise Follows (George) and son Leslie (Sheri), grandchildren Cody and Paige, sister Margaret Sulymka, brother Allen (Frederica) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In 1988, after a successful career of farming, Helen and Steve moved to their retirement home in Erickson. Here, Helen maintained a beautiful flower garden.
