James "Jim" Gordon Widing

James Gordon Widing passed away on April 26, 2025 in Wasagaming, Manitoba. He is survived by his children Niklas and Emma, his mother Susan, his brothers Mathew (Monique), Jon (Jen) and Miles (Andrea), as well as his nephews and nieces Markkus, Gabriel, Ava, Rhyse and Charlie. He was predeceased by his father Juha. Jim made a lasting impression on every person that knew him. He was a gifted athlete that loved to play tennis, golf, baseball, soccer and hockey. He excelled at tennis and made many lifelong friendships. He competed in the Junior Canadian National tennis championship when he was 12 years old. After high school he was offered a full scholarship to West Valley College in Saratoga, California. Following that he taught tennis for many years in Germany and Kelowna. He devoted the rest of his life to running the family business. Through his hard work and dedication he has made it into the successful business that it is today. The most important things in his life were his children Niklas and Emma as well as his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone that knew him and that were lucky enough to have crossed paths with him. We love you Jimmy!
