Melvin Luhowy

With family by his side, Melvin Luhowy of Rossburn, Manitoba passed away at the Rossburn Personal Care Home at the age of 90.

Melvin was born in the R.M. of Birtle and spent his entire working life farming in Rossburn. He married the love of his life Jennie Tomchuk on June 6, 1960. They had 2 children, Leonard and Sandy and 1 grandson, Dustin.

Retirement in 1995 meant a move into a house in town and even more time to participate in the sports he loved; hunting, fishing, and time to spend with family and friends. He enjoyed doing these things until he was no longer physically able to do so.

Melvin was predeceased by his wife Jennie, parents Nick and Dora Luhowy, sister-in-law Anne Luhowy, and numerous members of the Tomchuk family.

Left to miss him and cherish his memory are son Leonard, daughter Sandy, grandson Dustin, brothers and sisters-in-law Stanley (Lydia), Morley (Evelyn), Zane (Elsie), Nelson, Donald (Lavina) and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
