Obituary
It is with grateful hearts we give thanks for a life well lived.
Metro William Somack was born July 19, 1929 and peacefully left us on August 14, 2023 to enjoy eternity in the presence of our lord.
Metro was pre-deceased by his parents William and Mary Somack, sisters Ann and Jean, brothers Mike, John and Paul. Metro will be fondly remembered and missed by his nephews, Doug (Donna) Somack, Glen Somack and Allan Somack, Walter (Norlene) Fraynak, Ron Wasylnuk, niece Joanne (John) Fraynak and cousin Olga Homeniuk.
Metro lived and farmed in the Sandy Lake area most of his life. He worked hard and enjoyed his life on the farm alongside his brother John. Metro enjoyed spending time visiting with family and neighbors and always enjoyed sharing a good joke.
In 2009, following the sale of his farm, Metro moved to Erickson and resided there until 2019. When his health started to fail him, he moved into the Sandy Lake Personal Care Home where he peacefully passed away in his sleep.
Uncle Metro….We love you and we will miss you.
Vichnaya Pamyat! May his memory be eternal.
