Mike passed away suddenly at home on May 25, 2022. He was born on October 18, 1938 to Paul and Mary (Tutkaluk) in Elphinstone. He moved with his family to Vista where he attended school and high school in Oakburn. Dad took his mechanics course at ACC and completed his apprenticeship in Russell.
He was employed in Erickson and Shoal Lake. Dad married mom, Olia (Tokaryk) on September 5, 1964. They lived in Oakburn until 1980, when he built our family home and then started farming.
Mike served as a councillor with the RM of Park for 16 years. He also served on the Manitoba Pool Elevator Board, as well as the Shoal Lake Hospital Board and the Shoal Lake Vet Board.
Predeceased by his parents and brother Nestor.
Survived by his wife Olia of 57 years. Daughters Sharon, Verna, Janice (Johnny) and son Craig. Grandchildren Donovan, Tyler, Jayden, Brady, Hannah, Alexis, Kaylee and Madison.
Also survived by his sister Sonia (Morris) and brother Melvin (Evelyn), numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Gido was loved and will be missed by all.
