Myron Eugene passed away on March 28, 2025 at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon, MB with his family by his side. He was 83 years old.
Myron was born on October 27, 1941 in the RM of Rossburn to Peter and Nellie Kuzenko. In his younger days, Myron attended Valley School north of Rossburn until grade 8 and then worked at home on the family farm. Over the next several years Myron worked at the lumberyard, cheese plant, and hotel in Rossburn as well as for Ed Shust on his farm. Myron married Helen Pushka on Oct 21, 1967 at the Glen Elmo church north of Rossburn. In 1970, Myron and Helen moved to Thompson, MB, where he worked at the nickel mine. Myron and Helen then moved back to the Rossburn area and shared the home yard with his parents for about five years, before completely taking over the farm. On Oct 6, 1979 they were blessed with their first daughter Amanda. Then on Feb 27, 1983, with their second daughter Sharla.
Myron spent the majority of his years cattle and grain farming in the Birdtail Valley. Myron loved spending time helping with the Harvest Festival at the Rossburn Fairgrounds, often running the gate for the horse races. Myron also loved visiting and reminiscing about the good old days with many stories to tell. He was well known for his good humor, friendly smile, love of food, enduring charm and weird obsession with BS Canyon.
Myron was predeceased by his wife Helen in 2010, brother Eugene in 1941, mother Nellie in 1992, and father Peter in 1999.
Left to mourn are daughter Amanda Kuzenko, daughter Sharla Brenner and her husband Dean, granddaughter Rylee Brenner, sister Evangeline Bilawka, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours, and friends.
