Pamela Kay Rovers was born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan June 30, 1932, the second daughter of Frederik and Nora Rovers. Pamela passed away October 28, 2021 with her three children by her side after a courageous battle with Cancer far outlasting the predictions of her medical team.
Pamela attended school in Langenburg, Saskatchewan and then Strathclair, Manitoba after which she was employed as a telephone operator and bank teller. She married Murray Jenkins on June 19, 1954 and they lived their 60 plus year marriage on the Jenkins Family Homestead.
Pamela and Murray were blessed with one son and two daughters. Later they welcomed two sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law into the fold. Over the years four grandsons and two step grandsons were welcomed into the family. Recent years saw the arrival of the next generation with three great-grandsons and a great granddaughter. Pamela treasured every minute she shared with family.
Pamela had a strong sense of community, contributing time and money to many worthy causes. She was a member of the United and Anglican Churches, Rebekah Lodge and Eastern Star Lodge to name a few.
Pamela and Murray travelled to Switzerland, the British Isles, the United States, the Caribbean as well as throughout Canada. They also spent 25 wonderful winters in Arizona. Pamela took a keen interest in golf, enjoying the game throughout the prairie provinces and Arizona.
Left to cherish Pamela’s memory are her children and their spouses; Derek Jenkins (Donna), Gwenneth Lauder (Brian), Faith Jenkins-Watt (Gary Watt), Grandsons Matthew (Tara) Watt, Dan (Lorrissa) Watt, Adam (Dayna) Lauder, Ben (Mackenzie) Lauder; Step Grandsons Ben and Nick Moulden, Great-Grandchildren Owen and Sadie Watt, Calin and Hayden Watt, and her Brother Larry (Lubov) Rovers, along with numerous friends and extended family members.
