TRIBUTE TO PAMELA LEE MCINTYRE “PER ARDUA” ... The Motto for the Scottish Clan McIntyre... Represented by a raised hand holding a dagger pointed toward the sky. With a translation and meaning “Through Difficulties”
Pam was born under this crest 24 November 1982 to Pat & Randy McIntyre and a sister for Kelly. Pam as a child and into her adulthood was full of life, quick witted, playful, full of smiles and laughter. She was her own person, brave, loving, curious and strong. She was creative and wild at heart. She followed her instincts, even when they lead her off the beaten path.
Riding, camping, swimming, music, crafts and anything to do with nature and animals were Pam’s loves. Pam and Kelly both were very much involved in farm life at an early age. There were horse and cattle drives, calving, foaling, running equipment, doctoring sick animals, and helping out in the kitchen feeding large crews.
Pam completed Grade 12 with the Governors Awards and high standings. She went onto Olds College for 2 years receiving her diploma in Equine Production and Management.
Life circumstances brought her home where Pam was a vital part of River Hills Ranch farming and ranching operations, along with purchasing her own farm and livestock. Pam & Kelly worked hard side by side doing the work of men. The solace in long hours and hard work was the ability to always be around the horses they loved. They worked hand in hand. The sisters both received diplomas for equine ultra sounding and AI breeding. They had many challenges. Working as a team with integrity and diligence, they worked on refining and expanding our Quarter Horse Breeding Program. They produced outstanding horses that have gone across Canada and the US.. They had a dream, a vision, took action, and broke into a man’s world on the American Side with “Smoken N Rockin” They went to the World AQHA shows, making their mark, meeting top breeders and ropers in the Industry. Throughout their journeys they made life long friends.
Pam was well known for her Border Collie breeding program. Nothing made her happier than to hear from happy clients, whether it was for the dogs or horses.
Pam held many hats, but her most treasured and valued was being a MOM to her son Dayce, who was her absolute joy and lit up her life. She loved being the “Crazy Aunt” to Shane, Kayla, and Lacey. The four kids were what made her world so right. She loved being able to share her knowledge and learn new thing right along side them. Pam loved working with them, teasing them, sharing adventures with them and Kelly. Pam had a way of making an ordinary day extraordinary.
Even in moments of doubt, Pam never stopped trying. She faced life with courage, grace, and determination. She carried the warrior spirit. She had a way of finding the good in the bad.
Pam was intrigued and embraced many different cultures. Her beliefs were strong and she was very spiritual.
Pam was more than a Mom, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. Pam was a light, a joy, a piece of our souls. May you rest peacefully among angels with ease, grace and glory, and your spirit shine bright in heaven light.
Until we meet again, death is only a transition between the seen and unseen,
Quote by Rumi: Death has nothing to do with going away. The sun sets. The moon sets. But they are not gone. They remain unseen, until they rise again.
Love you always and forever
