Peter Philip Herbert

Peter Philip Herbert, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle passed away Friday December 26, 2025 at the age of 73.

Peter was born July 14, 1952 to Tom & Kay Herbert. He went to Pierson school, ACC in Brandon for mechanics. He married Darcie Shellborn, January 1980. Peter then built their family home on SW 19-4-29 where they raised their family. Peter worked on their grain farm and also enjoyed doing carpentry jobs on the side. Peter & Darcie decided to retire and move closer to their children and grandchildren. Family was very important to Peter, he always enjoyed family gatherings or lending a hand whenever he could. He spent many hours tinkering in his garage, working in the yard or doing his puzzles. Peter was always up for a game of crib.

Peter is survived by his wife Darcie; children Mandi (Dan), Dean (Kellie), Kari-Ida (Andrew); grandchildren Owen, Mikayla, Wynn, Arlo, Sadie, Wyatt and Kaylee; siblings Karen (Ian), Susan, Michael (Kay), Stacie (Andy), Joy (Darren); brother in laws Mark, Wade, Spencer and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by parents Tom and Kay Herbert, sister Mary Ida, brother James, brother in law Glen, in-laws Emil and Elvera Shellborn, sister in law Janice.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
