Peter Lapchinsky of Russell, MB passed away on May 25, 2025 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 62 years.
Peter was born July 3, 1962 to Bert and Joelene Lapchinski in Birtle, MB. Childhood years were spent on the family farm and then later in the town of Angusville, MB. He attended school until Grade 8 in Angusville, and then Major Pratt Collegiate in Russell, MB. He moved to Winnipeg in 1997 where he became very involved in the Orthodox Church serving many years at St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Peter moved back to Russell in July of 2024 and lived there until his passing. He had varied interest which included embroidery, cooking and baking, classical music and his bandura, Jets hockey and in his younger days riding his bike.
Peter was predeceased by grandparents Paul and Mary Lapchinski, Joel and Edna Lukey and parents Bert and Joelene Lapchinski. Surviving are three sisters Maryia Aitken, Blanche (Wayne) Schatz, Beatrice (Les) Fabo.
