Peter Wonsel

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our grandfather, Peter Wonsel of Sandy Lake, Manitoba on May 3, 2021 at the age of 96 years.

 Peter was pre-deceased by his wife Elizabeth and stepson Thomas Lutzek.

Our grandfather was a hard-working man from his early teens up until the age of 89. He had many types of jobs, from sawing ice blocks on the lake, salvaging various large buildings, cutting, and splitting wood, to farming.  Auction sales were his passion, he always needed to get dressed in his best, splash on his Aqua Velva cologne and get there for his pork on a bun before the sale started. He truly loved his 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, making time out of his busy farming life to take them for rides and ice cream. He was a happy, quiet man that never complained and always saw the best out of everything.   He lived a long life at 96 years old and we are all grateful for the time we had with him.
