Rosa Wagner Obituary

We the family of Rosa Maria Wagner (nee Fuchs), with a broken heart announce the passing of our beloved Mom and wife.  Surrounded by her two sons and her husband she passed away in the early hours of April 2, 2022 at the Shoal Lake Hospital.

Rosa was born on November 6, 1947 in Karlstein Bavaria Germany.  Rosa along with her parents Rosina and Engelbert Fuchs, and her three brothers Engelbert, Georg and Johann grew up on the family farm which is a beautiful place at the foot of the Hochstaufen mountain.  Unfortunately, her mom passed away July 27, 1964 when mom was only 16 years old.  It was very hard on her.

In 1968 mom married our dad Josef Wagner and they started a family in the village of Vachenleug which was located on the opposite side of the Hochstaufen mountain.  Ironically mom and dad met for the first time on top of that mountain.  Together they ran a busy and thriving restaurant – bed & breakfast.

In 1981 life changed completely when dad, mom and their two sons immigrated to Solsgirth, Manitoba Canada to start a new life there.  In 1988, her father passed away at 84 years and her brother passed away in 2011 at the age of 66 years.

Rosa worked hard all her life. She enjoyed the farm life and ran the tractors and combines on the fields.  Later in her years she focused on her passions which were cooking, baking, and gardening.  She spoiled us bigtime with her delicious food.

Rosa was a kind, funny, strong woman with a good heart.  She will be greatly missed.

Rosa leaves to mourn her husband, two sons, two brothers, and many other family members and friends.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
