Rose Tutkaluk passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, at Shoal Lake Personal Care Home, at 95 years of age. Rose was predeceased by her husband Mike on October 10, 2010. They were married at Sandy Lake and enjoyed 62 years of marriage and raising four daughters; Darlene (Jim) Lane of Birtle MB, Lorraine (Larry) Zacharias of Edmonton AB, Luanne (Jean-Paul) Brasca of Parksville BC, and Rosemary Tutkaluk of Brandon MB (passed on May 21, 2024). Rose was loved by three granddaughters Tina (David) Collier and their children Cortney, Chelsey, and Robin; Kerri (Tyler) Olsen; and Kim (Matt) Wolbaum and their two children Ashur and Alara. Surviving siblings are sister Martha (Steve) Lazaruk of St. Catherine ON, brother Morris (Alice) Boychuk of Portage la Prairie MB, and numerous nieces & nephews. Rose was predeceased by her parents Wes & Frances Boychuk, brothers John Boychuk and Harry Boychuk, sister Lena Gawiuk, and brothers-in-law Syson, Morris, and Nester Tutkaluk. Rose was born February 19, 1929, in Oakburn, Manitoba, and grew up with five siblings (John, Lena, Harry, Morris, and Martha) Rose attended school in Oakburn, Manitoba, until Grade 10. She helped her parents on the farm. After getting married, Rose and her husband Mike continued to help on her parents' farm. Mike and Rose purchased their own farm at Solsgirth, Manitoba, and built a new home. Rose and Mike grain-farmed and had beef cows, milking cows, chickens, horses, and pigs. Rose loved her vegetable garden and spent many hours attending to her beautiful flower gardens. Due to Mike’s health reasons, Mike and Rose sold the farm and moved to Brandon in 1973, this was a new start for them. Rose and Mike enjoyed their visits from grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spending time at their cabin at Ditch Lake. Rose loved animals. And was a talented artist and left behind her art for us to treasure. Rose moved to Birtle in 2012 to be close to her daughter Darlene and son-law Jim. Rose’s little house on Main Street Birtle continued to be a beautiful display of her love for flowers. After moving into her suite in the Shoal Lake Personal Care Home, Rose loved her many visits from Darlene and her little dog “Mollyâ€
