Shirley Ann Huntinghawk

Shirley Ann Huntinghawk of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at her residence at the age of 43 years.

Shirley was born in Brandon, Manitoba on September 19, 1982 to Pauline Huntinghawk and Norman French. She attended school in Erickson and upgraded through ACC on Rolling River First Nation and graduated from that. She worked at the Band Office as work became available. She also worked in construction in Winnipeg.

Shirley was predeceased by her mother Pauline, and by her grandparents. Surviving are her father Norman French (Dawn) of Brandon, sons Jeremiah Wilson of Erickson, Jude Wilson of Rolling River First Nation, daughter Jaylyn Wilson of Keeseekoowenin First Nation and one grandson Dris Wilson-Bone of Keeseekoowenin First Nation. She is also survived by her sister Coreen Huntinghawk of Winnipeg, Manitoba, brothers: Clinton Huntinghawk of Rolling River First Nation, Mason French of Kawacatoose First Nation, Saskatchewan and Colby Machiskinic of Regina, Saskatchewan.
