Tony Dutkywich
October 29,1936 - February 18, 2025
Peacefully on February 18,2025 Tony Dutkywich passed away at the Morley House Personal Care Home, Shoal Lake.
Tony was the seventh born, and second son born to Katie and Steven Dutkywich. He was the last remaining sibling of his family.
Tony was predeceased by his siblings and in-laws; Nellie(Tony); Stella(Steve); Ann (Charles, Gordon); Helen (Jim); Eileen (Joe); Henry (Leona) and Lenard as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tony is survived by many nieces and nephews from BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario, and his Aunt Rennie Zimmerman as well as his close friends Jim and Joan Shwaluk and other close neighbours.
Tony began farming on his own after his parents moved to Shoal Lake in 1966.
He was a mixed farmer, producing grain, raising cattle, chickens and pigs.
He sold eggs by the dozens and the last I heard he was selling them for 25 cents a dozen!
Tony was a very generous man and shared the bounty of his massive garden produce with family, friends and neighbours.
We will miss the twinkling of his eyes and the grin on his face; knowing there was a sarcastic comment coming. When is became apparent that farming was becoming to difficult for Tony due to his health, he moved to the Morley House suites in 2007 and in 2015 he moved to the PCH where he received love care and support from the staff friends and family. Rest in Peace Uncle Tony.
Thank you to the incredible nursing staff at the PCH for the love, care given to him.
