With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wynn Dolejsi. Mother of Darrell (Laurie) Grandmother of Samantha (Shaun) and Great โ Grandmother of Matthew, Alexander, Eva, Emily and Hayleigh.
Born September 1, 1932, in Banff Alberta, she lived in Calgary until 1997 when she moved to Manitoba. In Calgary she worked at Shulmans Laundry for 22 years and owned a Hobby Shop. Later, she started driving school bus for a country school in Spring Bank, then went to a different school division in Calgary and drove for Foothills Academy a school for kids with disabilities where she volunteered her time with the school. She also worked with the bus company to make up the school bus routes for Foothills.
She had a passion for volunteering and was part of the Girl Guides of Canada for 40+ years. She loved to winter camp it was her favorite. She had a huge list of accomplishments in her guiding years from camp advisor to camp director, she was the summer camp cook for many summers, and she continued her passion with guiding after she moved to Manitoba.
During her years in Manitoba, she stayed involved in guiding and started up the Sparks, Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders groups in Erickson. She retired from Guiding in 2006/2007. Wynn could never fully retire and spent her summers at Clear Lake working at Manigaming Resort then moving on to Aspen Ridge Resort and helping the Gowler family in their other businesses in the park. She also filled in her time working at the tea house in Erickson washing dishes and doing odd jobs. She was a lady that could never sit still and when she fully retired, she kept busy knitting and crochet numerous items, dolls and stuffed animals where she would either give them away or take orders for those that wanted to purchase them.
She will be forever missed by her family and friends
